HOW TO: make a mojito to remember

Easy steps for making the perfect summer beverage:
Muddle
2-4 slices of lime
5-10 leaves of spearmint
(I like lots of flavor - so I use the max of both)
Simple syrup (to taste)
Add ice
Pour 2 oz white rum
Mix, stir, shake (whatever you prefer)
Top with champagne or soda water (champagne is a lovely addition & treat)

Presto! Amazing summer beverly to be enjoyed with friends over sunsets/ tea parties or solo over chick flicks/ poolside.

Free chairs = makeover

I found these chairs on the side of the road last summer. I've been waiting all year to sand them, reupholster and spray paint! I started the process this past weekend but am headed off on a wonderful road trip adventure. Once I return it'll be time to spray paint! Semi-gloss white with lightly hand-sanded/worn edges.
